It seems that Amazon has setup the placeholder information for the Mana Punk Game Guide under their Books section! If you are looking for another location online to buy the book from, then keep your eyes locked on Amazon over the coming week. We will be posting updates as things finalize and it becomes a filled out and purchasable product.
We are happy to report that our two human staff members (Jennifer & Jeremy) have come back intact from their expedition to the Austin location of the Dragon’s Lair! I personally was expecting burn marks on all the gear and at least one of the two being turned to ash and cinder by said dragon.. but apparently it isn’t actually that kind of a Dragon’s Lair. Mana Punk generated some real positive buzz last night, and several extremely friendly humans were met. We would like to send a shout out to Michael Ashleigh Finn (our Creative Consultant for the Game Guide as well as a primary play tester!) for driving all the way from Houston to show support! We the goblin writers would also like to extend a hearty greeting to Alan & Robbie (and the rest of the staff) at the Dragon’s Lair for being generally fabulous and helping make things go smoothly. And Nathaniel Kohl er… Cole, who we hope really enjoyed himself!
Thanks to everyone who showed up and had fun!
Now that the Game Guide for Mana Punk is out and available, I feel it is a good time to get everyone acquainted with the game system as well as the over all idea that drives Mana Punk. While I may not have been the person that coined the term, I do hope to give it as much depth and breadth of definition as other such descriptors as “Steampunk” or “Fantasy” hold. In order to do this we will need to help define the game system and the world it runs, which brings about the important question… what exactly is “mana punk”, anyway?
